When you are applying for a digital certificate to be used along with your electronic notary commission, you must use the same name you were commissioned as a traditional and eNotary.  You can search your commission at the Secretary of State’s website to be certain of your full commission name.

If you choose to order from www.IdenTrust.com, follow the below instructions to ensure your digital certificate is correct.  If not, you could be responsible for purchasing another digital certificate with the correct information.  NOTE: IdenTrust does not make it clear in the setup!  If you have your middle name spelled out in your commission like I do above, you will need to put first name AND middle name in the FIRST NAME field.  The same goes if you do not have your middle initial listed in your commission, do not include it.

Once your application for the digital certificate is approved, IdenTrust will send you instructions on how to retrieve and export your digital certificate file.

The final version should match your commissioned name.
